Chris has a 40+ year career working in conservation, sustainable development, and now climate action. His background is in environmental education and the media, which helped shape a career working on strategic planning, movement-building, community engagement, and marketing campaigns.
Working as Executive Director for the Conservation Council of Ontario, a subnational NGO, proved fertile ground for creative ideas including environmental strategies, community action plans, and movement-based marketing campaigns — all of which have contributed to the theory and ideas behind the blue ring.

Steve has over 30 years in the advertising industry. Within that time he’s worked with some incredible people, created award-winning ads, gained a ridiculous amount of experience, and worked his way from a junior creative fresh 0ut of university to a Global Creative Director managing teams across the US, Europe, and the UAE.
