Climate Love is a campaign to encourage us all to remind ourselves and each other of why our climate is so amazing and worth protecting.
Climate Love is a foundational campaign. Awareness of the live-giving value of our climate is the first step to accepting and supporting the need to protect it.
Climate Love requires litte formal organization – however funding and promotional resources from lead organizations will go a long way to promoting the campaign acros the climate movement.
As such, the campaign is an excellent way for organizations, funders, governments, and companies who are already climate leaders (i.e. committed to a net-zero, resilient and better future), to engage their communities and support a global campaign.
The campaign encourages and will flourish with personal expressions of love for our climate.
Earth Hour is an example of a global engagement campaign that enlisted people and municipalities the world over to turn our their lights for one hour in support of climate action.
Differences are that Earth Hour is run by a single organization (World Wildlife Federation) and it is solely a demonstration of public support. Climate Love is designed as a movement-wide campaign to build a foundation of public support for climate leadership.
